With that, I’ve been doing this for five years straight. Five years, 2081 individual strips, 698 pages (And one strip on page 699). That is… improbable. I don’t know how to stop doing things, you see. Even if I get tired of them, even if I’m not in the mood, I will keep going. A thing like this, with no ending except the obvious… no idea how to quit. There’ve been times when I wanted to, that’s for sure. But here we are. And I’ve actually had a renewed interest in these lately. I like the current look. I enjoy making them. Who knows how long this could go on?
I’ve taken this occasion to make some long-desired format changes. First, actual panels, with gutters! I have always wanted to split them, but it was hard to give up those scraps of real estate. I think it will look better this way, though, especially on days with multiple comics (Some of which are coming very soon). Also, I finally added the year to the dates. I never intended to do this so long, not having the year made the archives more confusing than they should be. Due to my haphazard cropping for the first few years, dropping in the year in the old ones would be a huge pain, but I might as well do it from here on out, however long that ends up being.
So, hey, whoever you are, thanks for reading these things. I don’t really know why you do, but I hope you still like them. I’m glad this milestone comic features music, my family, and an actual joke. It would be kind of embarrassing if it was just me sitting at home.
