Not exactly an event you want to remember, but it happened.
The earliest reference to the COVID pandemic in my comics, if not my life, is this one.

Then I go down to Dewey’s birthday, which I don’t know will mark the beginning of the pandemic for me, personally.
Then we move into the “lockdown” phase…
And from there it’s just… the new normal…

There’s another trip down home…
The summer is marked by the bird attacking my window…
…and trying to clean up my property…
…and getting a brutal case of poison ivy in the process.
But thee are other indelible moments from this very unusual year in there, too.

Another trip down south…

A long birthday celebration.

Then came a special day…

…and yet…

Things proceeded apace. Voting time came around, at least for me…

And then Mom’s birthday, previously an excuse for her to come visit me, now an excuse for me to go visit her.
And then back to the new normal…

And then I got a CPAP machine. A necessary adjustment.
A cruel trick is played…

Then it’s Thanksgiving time.
You’d think the general 2020-ness of it all was bad enough, but sometimes it got worse.

And there are other problems.

And other stuff, too…

And then it was Christmas time. The weirdest year was finally over.
And there it was, the worst year ever. And yet. Despite it all. Despite the tragedy and the uncertainty and the loss, the unfathomable dereliction of duty by basically all elected officials, the callous disregard of so many of our countrymen… I mean, look at the above. I managed to have a pretty good year during the worst year ever. Isn’t that strange?
