COVID and the Vaccination Thereof

Year 2. Back when we thought we could get rid of this thing. Back when people still cared.

Thus fully vaccinated, I set out to do a bunch of things I’d been making a list of for when it felt safe to do so.

Then it was time to visit home again.

Back home, I get a disturbing phone call…

…but things are mostly back to something like normal for awhile.

But not totally normal, of course.

It was a balancing act, all the time, for me. Then I made a new friend…

…and got to see older ones…

…and then it was off home for the 4th of July.

A sign of things to come at the pharmacy the next day.

But life proceeds apace.

Until things regress.

Tragedy struck!

But life goes on. With big changes.

Could be worse.

Could be better.

But, eventually, it’ll be my birthday.

And when I got home, shock followed shock…

Danny did call dibs, after all.

2021 was a year of endings, really. But that didn’t stop me from going home for Mom’s birthday…

And then it was time to shut down the office.

And by then, the 2nd pandemic year was winding down.

And soon enough, it was Thanksgiving.

And while COVID was still on my mind, that was maybe not so normal.

And then, of course, Christmas took me home one more time for the year.

And that was that for the 2nd COVID year. Better than 2020 in some ways, surprisingly worse in others. And 2022 was the year everyone from the man on the street to the CDC decided to just pretend none of this ever happened, so this is the end of my little COVID journey pages. And yet… the pandemic continues, even now.
