Welcome back to 1968! Feels like it’s been forever since I saw stuff this old. There’s so much stuff from the Michelinie era. Anyway, this is gonna be a nice, long stretch…

SM 75
Alright, let’s get this over with. This is a wraparound cover. Here’s the back: Romita going hard for this one already. And as of this month, he’s teamed with the magnificent Scott…
ASM 418
Halfway done. And it’s into this tumult that new regular (Or perhaps more accurately, “regular”) penciler Steve Skroce drops in. Skroce had been making a big splash in the X-Men comics. To…
ASM Annual ’96
The appearance of this comic at this time is SO jarring. Extremely un-90s Ron Frenz art, a cover full of dead people, 2 versions of the real Spider-Man. Very left field. Also…

ASM 119
The original version of this post explained that I had to read ASM 119 & 120 out of a reprint in ASM Annual 12 because these issues were too pricey for me….
ASM 096
So, this one and the next two are a big deal, if you don’t happen to know their backstory, but I’ll talk about that at the end. Gil Kane is back, with…
