That looks bad! We get rolling this month like this:

Extremely valid question about how May can afford all this. Previously she could barely feed her and Peter, now it’s a party all the time.

Four superkids in the same school seems like a recipe for disaster. The drama! Speaking of, Aunt May’s off to the school to talk to the principal. He is very skeptical of Peter’s cousins (All of whose records and ID were lost in the flood). He reminds her that they didn’t have a good time last time they saw each other and he turned her in to the cops. He says he appreciates her looking past it. He says, post-flood, he doesn’t care whether Peter is Spider-Man or not. That having Spider-Man attend the school feels like an honor now, and the he wants to do right by her family. When she tries to protest Peter’s identity, he reiterates that he doesn’t care. And that’s basically it. A bit too neat and tidy, but you know how it is sometimes.

And the doors at the end of the hall blow off their hinges, and people go flying in the explosion, and the big Mysterio-bot from the cover enters the hall. Peter stops Johnny from flaming on and ushers him and the rest out of the building to the rest of the fleeing students, reminding them they have to keep a low profile. Soon, he’s the only kid in the building.

Kinda-sorta an update of the Living Brain story in ASM 8, really. Kinda. The new red hooded figure who is not the Red Hood shows up as Spider-Man finishes pushing the principal out of the room, and our hero turns around, already quipping about a team-up, when…

How does she get in and out of all that at a moment’s notice? Maybe she phases into the outfit. Her hands and fingers a wrapped like a mummy!

Hey, that looks bad! Now Mysterio is doing his vlog or whatever, calling that robot his Spider-Slayer and talking about how he’s not going to be like Kingpin and pretend not to care about Spider-Man until it ruins him. He announces that he has Spider-Man’s DNA, and that now he has footage of him, and someone will see it and help him out and kill his foe. But right then, Mysterio spots cops on his security cameras, so…

Startin’ to kinda feel like that movie The Batman. Only the last act isn’t a ridiculous disaster. Or at least I don’t recall it being. We’ll see, I guess!
