This month, as part of her one-woman war on Roxxon, Spider-Woman has faked her way into a job interview there under the fake name “Dr. Julia Carpenter” (Nice, Bendis), with paperwork showing she was one of the young scientists of the Baxter Building project. The interviewer asks her opinion of the recent attacks.

The flood destroying public records most’ve been really good for a whole lot of people. Meanwhile, Wendell Vaugh(an) has called Carol Danvers, because the situation at Project Pegasus is weird. He assumed they were under attack, but reports Captain Marvel (Who Carol says she hates) is now talking to the perceived assailant.

Weird hand gesture from ol’ CM in panel 3.

Suddenly, Captain Marvel starts acting hurt, says he’s been compromised, and begins morphing into a big monster. Or at least his suit does. And then he charges the SHIELD guys and creates a big explosion. Is this what Rick’s here to stop? We don’t know, because we’re back in NYC.

Then we cut to Sue Storm at the ruins of the Baxter Building. We got a lot of things to check in on.

Original Nick Fury copped Ultimate Nick Fury’s look during Secret Invasion (Mighty Avengers 12), only right to return the favor.

Looks like we’re all set for a big showdown next issue! With the everlovin’ blue-eyed.. not thing? I don’t remember if Ben bothers to get a new code name. They were never really superheroes to begin with Ultimate style. Not a very significant issue. Pieces just kinda moved around. I read it in 5 minutes. Feel like it could’ve been a bit more… meaty…
