Delicious. This month, Dell is back to inking solo, and Justin Ponsor is just plain back. Page one is Ben in a delirious state, trying to remember what’s going on as he notices Spider-Man has arrived.

Morbius and Spider-Man fight Wolf-Guy and Vampire Lady for a couple pages, and Wolf-Guy says he doesn’t know WHO Morbius’ dad is, and we see Morbius has stakes on his belt. Wolf-Guy turns into bats and flees, leaving just Vampire Lady to deal with.

Spider-Man rushes Ben to a hospital, where no one will believe he was bitten by a vampire. Spidey makes the point that a spider-man just brought him in and maybe vampires aren’t that crazy, but it’s not working. He begs them to help Ben and has to leave. We skip ahead to Ben being left alone in his room, and Morbius appearing. Ben says he’s hungry, and Morbius says it’s almost over.

Spidey can’t let him do it, tho, and grabs Morbius, then gets thrown out into the hallway for it. And then a whole buncha vampires show up, and one of them bites Spider-Man. She is messed up by his tainted blood and stops, but that doesn’t stop him from freaking out about becoming a vampire.

Thus, the next day, Peter is in school, with a turtleneck on, and MJ is trying to talk to him, frankly surprisingly more cordial than you’d expect after last issue, but he’s not in the mood. They’re supposed to be dissecting frogs, but he can’t do it. MJ won’t stop trying to be friendly, so he tells her not to freak out and shows her his neck.

Daredevil warned him. And he hadn’t seen DD in a long time before USM Annual 2, but that came out after this. I dunno. Well, Peter seems like he’s at a breaking point. It’d sure be a bad time for literally everything to go crazy…
