I looked ahead. Angel Medina is not coming back. He managed to draw just 8 of the 17 issues in this run. A year-ish from now, he’ll draw a Venom origin miniseries I haven’t read. Maybe he had some issues during this. At any rate, same art team as last month as we wrap this thing up. We find Zabo turning into Hyde, wondering how Robert Louis Stevenson could have known exactly what his transformation would feel like (hilarious). Meanwhile, Spider-Man is beating himself up or not being at Aunt May’s side as he finds his way to Zabo’s hideout using the tracker he made. It’s really big. Somehow. I mean it’s like a zoo, with brick walls, hidden in the sewer. Who built this? Why?

Am I supposed to know who this is?

One of his “former” students? So he’s still going to work in FNSM and not in this? Clownshoes.

Oh, it’s the kid from SSM 28. Unbreakable glass, ok. Spider-Man should be able to go through the brick around it. Jordan names his kidnapper, and Spider-Man reacts in horror, like he hasn’t waxed that guy repeatedly over the years, and then Mr. Hyde appears to do battle. Meanwhile, Black Cat delivers another Spider-Man to Detective Fogg. Man, Peter must have her on speed dial these days.

Well, that’s nice. The less wanton murder, the better. I know, a radical stance. Wel, Hyde and Spider-Man are fighting, as they do. At one point, Spidey leaps out of the way, and Hyde cracks the glass holding Jordan. As they battle off elsewhere, Jordan is able to use a stick or a pipe or something to level his way out. Meanwhile, fightin’. Spider-Man webs Hyde’s eyes, and he rips the web off, Spider-Man uttering the preposterous, hilarious phrase “Your eyelids! You’re ripping them off!”

Jordan has mixed up some chemicals and plans to kill Hyde with them as vengeance for his mom (Why lie? Why not just kill her if he thinks that trauma is key to the whole Spider-Man thing? Mr. Hyde kills people. This is dumb). Spider-Man won’t let him, of course.

Yeesh. Not much to this issue. Fight-y fight. Felicia sure must not have much going on. I was curious about her and Puma as an item, but it didn’t get developed much. Ah, well. 3 more issues of this run. Can Aguirre-Sacasa redeem himself?
