What’s going on here? Sue’s head is noticeably larger than Nick or Spider-Man. That wall texture is so blurry. What happened, guys? Well, anyway. This month, we pop into the Triskelion, where Carol Danvers is still in charge, and where we learn this attack happened at 7 Roxxon sites in the US and who knows how many abroad. Carol is trying to work out what the Soho attack means. The Baxter Building and Reed’s house work together, but what’s in Soho? We’re conveniently told the Ultimates are unavailable, and most of the experts who could tell them what’s going on worked for Roxxon. Tough day to be running SHIELD. Carol makes an announcement:

They keep fight-arguing, and eventually Nick tells Carol she’s either in on this, or it happened on her watch. She doesn’t like the sound of that. But we head on back to Queens to see that, at the first sight of the monster thing outside, Iceman ices up and throws a huge ice javelin right into its face, causing a big explosion.

Good work, Bobby! At the Triskelion, some poor agent runs in the ladies’ to tell Carol about the new attack and is very confused to find her and Nick pointing guns at each other. Nick knows an attack in Queens means Spider-Man, and both SHIELD directors bark the same mobilization orders at the same time. Back at the house, Iceman’s fight with the thing is rapidly escalating, until…

Now there’s an entrance. The thing hits the Thing with a big blast, and he loses a bunch more rocks, and purple light starts to glow out of the holes, as the rest of them keep on fightin’. Spider-Man makes suer Iceman’s ok (And May and Gwen), while Sue demands answers from the attacker, but doesn’t get any. The heroes discuss what’s happening and what to do, seemingly not noticing Ben as he glows brighter and brighter, and then…

What’s happening? Has this series killed 2 members of the FF after all the pointless slaughter of Ultimatum? Or is it something else? We’ll see!
