Picking up where we left off, Spider-Man is fighting Carrion and White Tiger is fighting Darter in the gym of ESU.
This is getting into spoiler territory due to the order I’m posting stuff in, but I don’t know how I could do the rest of this without talking about it. Carrion knows everything about the 1970s clone saga, and Peter STILL hasn’t figured out who he is yet.
Meanwhile, this Darter guys is proving another villain with too many gimmicks, having glider wings, a stun gun, and fingertip blasters like the Green Goblin, and is still get wrecked by White Tiger with nothing but martial arts. Spider-Man’s having worse luck with Carrion, whose ill-defined power to “repulse living matter” lets him burn Spider-Man with a touch and somehow explode all the water out of a pool, and also levitate, somehow.
White Tiger’s fight with Darter bursts into the room and Darter flies right into his boss. White Tiger keeps throwing a Spanish word in every sentence until Carrion gets the drop on him and knocks him into the empty pool, where he falls unconscious. Carrion takes Spidey to the science lab where Miles Warren made clones of Gwen & Peter (It’s a long story, we’ll get there), and supervillain monologues his deal.
Except Spidey is unconscious, so he’s telling no one in particular all this vital backstory. When Spidey wakes up and asks who he is, Carrion has to repeat in even more blunt terms that he’s the clone of Warren. Shoulda just waited, Carrion. Anyway, To Be Continued.
