In 2021, hopped up on having read Absolute Jack Kirby’s Fourth World, Vol. 1, I decided to ink a Jack Kirby Darkseid drawing. and then color it. And then I decided to do some other art heroes. I got through John Romita, Sr. and Walt Simonson before I ran out of gas. It was an interesting experiment. Inking is a really unique and increasingly lost art, and I’d never tried inking someone else’s pencils before. It was fun!
