I draw a lot of dumb things. Some of this material stretches all the way back to 2004, when I had a thread on a comics message board inviting people to ask me to draw things, and the suggestions got weirder and weirder. Some of it is only a few years old.
The first bunch is various Dr. Dooms over the years. For some reason, Dr. Doom, who is one of the best villains of all time, has also always been a great source of comedy. The last gag was one I liked so much I later redrew it and then re-redrew it with Darth Vader.
Sometimes when I draw something normal, it’s hard to resist putting stupid text on it. It’s just how my brain works.
Sometimes there’s a real concept, like Obama vs. Romney as Superman vs. Luthor or Disney buying Lucasfilm, other times, it’s just “what if Wolverine’s claws were corndogs?”
The cover of of the “Spider-Men” miniseries recreated with Spider-Hams, Ogrim Doomhammer from Warcraft as Thor, and Bishop on the cover of Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album because of the text on his first cover.
Iron Dog, which spun out of the phone game Draw Something, Duckdevil, and Space Dogs Playing Poker, drawn as a background gag for Comics From Space!.
A commentary on the mess that was Avengers Vs. X-Men, Iron Man as a wizard (Also from Draw Something) and finally, Otterman, which was supposed to be the first of a series of terrible superhero ideas, but I never came up with anymore.
