Feel like Bendis is just goofing now. Ultimate Ronin! Page one, Kingpin is looking in on his bedridden wife. Probably Vanessa, but it could be any name in this world. Maybe he said it back when she was introduced and I have forgotten. His new majordomo, Mr. Rose, one assumes an international reference, intrudes, and is given a warning this one time only. He wants Fisk to know the candidate for his “fist” is here. In Moon Knight’s mind, his personalities try to get him ready for it.

Wonder why Bendis felt the need to put a little girl in there.

Every Ronin is revealed faster than the previous one. I guess that’s a Ronin Rule. Ronin starts taking Fisk’s goons apart, but he says that’s not what he had in mind. Rose says he’s Marc Spector, “Gulf War Super Soldier experiment gone wrong,” who formerly worked for Roxxon under the name “Paladin.” Who knows, that could all be true. Kingpin gives him the task to prove himself: “Spider-Man. Wreck his life and bring him here.”

Man, this school really goes through principals! This one’s named for podcast host John Siuntres, who Bendis has been doing sprawling interview sessions with for decades, at this point.

Why is Paul Schaefer running the school news channel? Is the Late Show Orchestra, né the World’s Most Dangerous Band there, also? Seems like there could be a rivalry between MJ and Jessica Jones now. Later, MJ & Peter are having a fun chat about her using him to get her new gig when Kitty accidentally walks up. Peter tries to introduce her to MJ, but she flees. They both feel bad about it.

Well, crazypants Moon Knight crashes a bus right through the front of the school, as the little girl in his head demands to know what he’s doing. And then Ronin is out of the bus, shooting an uzi in the air and demanding Spider-Man appear. The little girl in his head tells him he’s gone too far as someone off-panel says “I guess I should thank you for this.”

Oops! Picked the school with TWO superheroes to attack.

Kitty jobbing out that hard bugs me. Ronin continues to whup on her as the voices in his head are horrified to see a Ronin appear in there, too, and start beating on Moon Knight as the real one beats on Kitty. And then…

It’s all gone wrong! Things don’t look good for our hero, or Kitty, or Moon Knight. Who knows what’ll happen next?
