This month, we open on a montage of places that’ve been blown up, such as Doom’s castle, the Baxter Building, a Stark Industries facility in California, “Seattle Tech Biomedical Engineering Research Facilities,” Roxxon, and Peter Parker’s house before focusing on the Triskelion (No love for Reed’s house?).

Who could pass up a good Superman: The Movie reference? Rick takes them all to, where else, Project Pegasus, because it was all he could think of. Inside, they find just Wendell Vaugh(a) standing guard. When Nick Fury sees that Reed’s made off with basically all the most dangerous technology SHIELD has ever seen, he, of all people, immediately suggests a truce or surrender as their only courses of action. But Sue has a plan. She wants to use the Reed intel they brought with them to take the fight to him. Captain Marvel strongly objects.

Meanwhile, in New York, lest we forget…

The spiders save people and do some wisecracking, until…

Back at PP, Carol Danvers is beating herself up over the situation, and Nick Fury gives her a much needed pep talk. And while he does…

An that, pretty cleanly, is how, just as Spider-Man yanks Doc Ock free of the goop and the big alien things get even worse in Manhattan…

Will Doc Ock save the day?? That would be delightfully complex. I don’t actually remember exactly what happens. Just what comes next. I can’t believe I read a comic today, in 2026, that referenced this event. Comics are crazy.
