This time we get going with the super villain group session, and Hank is showing them footage of Green Goblin fighting Spider-Man, asking for Norman\u2019s comment. He gets none, tho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hey, that\u2019s going well. Is Ultimate Hank a psychiatrist? I would have assumed he was, like, a geneticist. Maybe he multitasks. Six weeks later (Magic number!), Norman is returned to the Spider-Villain Cell Block, where Electro is very scared to be anywhere near him now. Doc Ock looks at Norman back in his cell, staring him down, and tells the guards he\u2019d like to talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut to the Triskelion, strangely named homebase of SHIELD and the Ultimates, as Nick Fury shows the team (Minus the late arriving Iron Man) footage of Doc Ock\u2019s rampage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, right, this is after Hank had already had a knock down, drag out fight with Jan and quit the team or something. Hank slapped Janet while having a psychotic break once and now he is forever known as the wifebeating superhero. That hit was nothing compared to the way Peter Buscema Punched MJ, and he gets off scott free. But you let Millar get ahold of \u201cHank Pym is a wifebeater\u201d and he literally cannot wait to get there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nick says \u201cYeah\u201d and Cap silently walks out, just as Tony is arriving. Later, Doc Ock is being shown to a lab he can help them work in, under tight security, and then these dumbies put him in a room with his arms. I mean, sheesh, read a comic book. He theorizes that maybe the connection is more mental than physical, that the Oz unlocked some kind of mental abilities in him that needed a perfect conduit, and by the time he\u2019s done talking, his arms have killed everyone else in the room. One of the dead guys looks like Hank, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s him. Dumb! Shortly thereafter, the Sinister or Ultimate Other Four Guys find the power shut off to their cell block, including their power dampeners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter? Who\u2019s that? A character meant to appear in this series, perhaps? A character who\u2019s only appeared on TV screens for 2 whole issues of a 6* issue event? Literally no one else would\u2019ve done it like this. But, yeah, that\u2019s the really unsatisfying gag. The \u201cUltimate Six\u201d include Spider-Man, and you and I both know he won\u2019t turn bad, so the name of the book should be Ultimate Five. It\u2019s bad when your title is a mistake.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
