The Goblin\u2019s got a brand new bag for the occasion. This new costume is a real downgrade, but don\u2019t worry, it only appears in this story. They managed to spin their wheels for most of 6 issues before this, and now, what, they\u2019re gonna fight for 3 whole issues? Seems unlikely! Prepare to spin more wheels! The usual gang is here\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot fathom how May could be so important to his plan. And that statement only gets more absurd as we proceed. To the aforementioned hunting lodge, on a dark and stormy night, because Romita, Jr. excels at them! Spidey\u2019s swinging through the wood recapping when the trees begin to seem to move as he comes toward them, making him miss a web shot and almost fall in a punji pit. Then one swings a branch out to clothesline him. Killer trees! This is what it\u2019s come to! Gotta fill those pages! While Spider-Man dodges evil trees, we check in with his better half\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s she been making!? She\u2019s been a student! The subject of money hasn\u2019t made sense in this book for 4 years. Upstate, Spider-Man\u2019s still fighting evil trees, and while it\u2019s stupid, JR is cooking, as always. Spidey\u2019s eventually forced to the ground, where some kind of weird monsters attack him. Boy, that Norman. What doesn\u2019t he have going on? After he makes surprisingly short work of some kind of genetic freaks\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou were supposed to find a book at The Bugle when you randomly chose to use the computer there for the first time ever and against all common sense, but you failed to go in my office for no reason!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Goblin casually swatting away the book is great. A genetic bomb? That\u2019s pretty far above Norman\u2019s usual paygrade, but they were trying to go big for this, so of course. Meanwhile, MJ\u2019s at a press conference for her new gig, and the shred of hope that her child is alive is slowly eating away at her happiness. Back up north, battle is truly joined, and Jr\u2019s making it look brutal as GG says he never took the baby, tries to say she died when Spidey smashes into him and cuts him off. Goblin crashes to the ground and begins spouting nonsense about his new world order and what not as his glider flies after Spider-Man shooting lasers. Spidey just makes for the house, saying he doesn\u2019t care about any of this. Norman tackles him through a wall of the house, saying he should care, and would if he know how close this big moment is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well. Seems like our man\u2019s about to go find what he\u2019s looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
