This month, also “One Month Ago…”, Eddie Brock wakes up in a high tech cell being watched by Bolivar Trask and Adrian Toomes. You know, like in the video game. Presumably before USM 90.

Like the game. We flashback to the cops trying to blame last issue’s troubles on Spider-Man, but unusually for him, bystanders come to his defense, and the cops let him go.

Like in the game! We flash back to 20 minutes ago, within the flashback to a month ago, where Trask’s goons are about to do something or other to Venom, while Sable and her Wild Pack stand guard, when Beetle smashes in and frees Venom. Which is NOT like the game. Beetle snips off a part of the symbiote, puts it in a can, and leaves. Venom freaks out, breaks stuff, eats a lady, and also departs. He’s chasing Beetle, like he did in the game.

Man, that’s some dynamic action. That cop is way too confident, and Venom eats his horse for it. Didn’t get THAT in the game!

Time for a more significant diversion from the game’s story. Which is fine by me. We already saw this stuff, mostly. I’m really surprised I forgot Bendis sort of remade the game’s story with Immonen. Strange choices.
