I read a lot more than this for Secret Invasion, but these are the ones with Spider-Man in them. With Civil War, I managed to come up with something I thought communicated &#8220;Civil War&#8221; while upfronting Spider-Man&#8217;s part in it, but&#8230; Spider-Man&#8217;s role in Secret Invasion is pretty minor. He runs around in the background fighting Skrulls and quipping. He goes on a side quest with his old pals Ka-Zar, Shanna and Zabu to learn more about how the Skrulls were responsible for the corruption he and the other New Avengers uncovered in their first adventure, but that&#8217;s about it. Harder to really make a satisfying image for this one. But, you know. The Skrulls finally pull the trigger on their titular secret invasion, incapacitating the world&#8217;s superheroes and secret agents and leaving both Avengers teams trapped in the Savage Land fighting evil twins for much of its run time. Spider-Woman is revealed to have been the Skrull Queen since New Avengers #1 and various other key people are revealed, as well, as Nick Fury rallies a new team to save New York from Skrulls. While all that&#8217;s going on, most of Spider-Man&#8217;s supporting cast go on the run from Skrulls in Manhattan, including Dexter Bennett, Joe Robertson, Betty Brant and Vin Gonzales trapped in a car with Jackpot fighting a Super-Skrull AND Menace from the roof. The good guys learn the Skrulls used Reed Richards&#8217; knowledge to infiltrate Earth, and Reed eventually uses the same ideas to reveal all the Skrulls. It inevitably comes down to a big fight in Central Park, wherein Norman Osborn, present in his capacity as the leader of the Thunderbolts, shoots the Skrull Queen and all is apparently forgiven for all his past mass murderin&#8217;. The Skrulls&#8217; secret doomsday option is using the Wasp as an unwitting bioweapon, but Thor does&#8230; something&#8230; Sucks her into a vortex or something&#8230; and that&#8217;s it for her. Also a bunch of other stuff. The end! Just not much focus on Spider-Man. He&#8217;s an original (And so is his Skrull duplicate), but the big T. Rex is obviously thanks to a 3D model I found. I was looking for one I could download, but instead found out I could just reference easily on a 3D model gallery website (It&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sketchfab.com\/3d-models\/t-rex-buck-the-lost-world-jurassic-park-fan-art-61e29827668b4c5f95b1c93a81388322\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pretty neat<\/a>, actually).\u00a0 I sure wouldn&#8217;t have done such a cool dinosaur without help.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Secret Invasion 1-8, Secret Invasion: Frontline 1, New Avengers 41, 43, ASM: Secret Invasion 1-3.
