Phil Jimenez still hanging in there. Almost 20 issues and he’s the first artist to do 2 arcs. He is accompanied by Andy Landing and Chris Chuckry, last seen in these pages coloring DD 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW from the House of Ideas: Kraven had a third child that never came up before<\/em>. This is getting really silly. We flash back to 2 weeks earlier. Spider-Man and Daredevil are fighting a villain called Fracture and quipping it up. Also Jimenez has visibly chilled out on the McFarlane crap, still drawing big eyes, but in a more appealing way. Spider-Man is yammering about how Fracture is always trying to rob banks, and Spider-Man is always stopping him. Fracture’s first-ever comics appearance was in Blade 10<\/a>. This is his 2nd. ALWAYS! As they banter away, someone watches them via binoculars. Gosh, who could that be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we’re just going to run in obvious circles with Kraven stuff, why not just bring back the second<\/em> retcon child? What does making up a 3rd bring to the table? It’s the same story with all three! Now it’s one week later, and Peter Parker seems to have a new job at a comic shop. How droll. The first great joke of the BND era is a sign in the background that says “Hey Adults! Comics!” Much funnier than the banter between Peter and his coworker, Mike, who doesn’t understand why Peter was hired if he doesn’t read comics, as Peter keeps saying things like he doesn’t like comics because “they remind him of work” and he isn’t an X-Men fan because he “doesn’t get along with a lot of them.” Just wear your suit to work, I guess, jeez. Then his danger sense goes off, and he tackles Mike out of the way of a sniper shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I believe Jimenez is using himself as a model for Mike, but making him less handsome to better fit the stereotype. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, we see the as yet unnamed Baby Kraven 3 has apparently used Vin Gonzales’ gun in a shooting, and it was recovered from the scene, so I guess he’ll turn on Peter. We don’t see that, because next we find Peter getting subpoenaed, because someone is suing Spider-Man. And then<\/em> Vin gets hit by a hit & run driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rather cruel, Mr. Osborn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So then we follow Peter home, his internal monologue worrying about Vin. Actually, you know what? I’m running the rest of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I Saw this coming almost immediately. But look at Vin in the page where she gets the drop on him. Not only is his hair wrong, but it’s colored brown. That is<\/em> Peter. That’s a dirty cheat. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
