These two just can\u2019t get enough of stabbing each other. We begin back at Dr. Strange\u2019s house, where the Orb of Agamatto suddenly comes on to show Wong and Jessica what\u2019s happening in Japan, seemingly by Strange\u2019s doing, so they see him lying on the ground all stabbed and such. Then a 2-page spread of our heroes fighting 5000 ninjas. And the ninjas just keep on comin\u2019…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I mean how many members can the Hand have? Is everyone in the city a ninja?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love that bit. Clint is always the one who seems like he\u2019s not taking things seriously when he is in fact taking them very seriously on the Avengers, but now he\u2019s got stiff competition. The battle continues, including Elektra setting Luke on fire, and Dr. Strange weakly tells Wong his astral form is trapped by Hand magic, and he needs Wong to do a spell. And he does, and Strange\u2019s ghost bursts out of his body. He\u2019s able to start putting Hand guys to sleep, and then he manages to free Echo from the Hand\u2019s mind control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yu has really sold the chaotic feel of this fight the whole time. It feels claustrophobic and overwhelming, as it should. Anyway, just as promised, stabbity stab. But here\u2019s the twist: Elektra goes down, Wolverine smells something wrong, the Hand ninjas all turn tail and flee, and Spider-Man is busy rambling about how the Hand never leave a body when everyone sees\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Skrull! But why would Elektra be a Skrull??<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danny is asking the right question! And then there\u2019s this\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a cheap jumpscare, they admitted almost immediately that Baby Cage is not a Skrull. I don\u2019t know why you\u2019d do that. Anyway! Big revelation there, and it continues into next issue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
